Spiritual nourishment
& wellbeing
Worshiping God helps individuals feel close to God and receive insight from Him.
Research has shown that regular church attendance is associated with improved physical and mental health, as well as increased happiness.
Aflame Mission Team is always open to invitations to minister in Sunday services of different learning institutions especially those of boarding high schools. We have in the past and even currently partnered with schools that invite us to minister to their students. This form of ministry has over time helped propagate godly values as well as instilling the fear of God in the hearts of the students.
It is within these Sunday Services that we also evangelize and get young people to make a decision to become disciples of Christ by way of salvation (being born again). Upon receiving salvation, we then ask them to be part of a discipleship process in their respective Christian Unions(CUs) where we visit to conduct Discipleship mostly on a weekly basis.
We also use Sunday services as a channel to connect the youth with our planned events. We usually invite them to come as a Christian union when schools are on or at an individual level during holidays.
Sundays services also offer great opportunities for guidance and counselling for students, this takes place after the services just before we leave the mission field. The Christian union patrons have played a major role in this area by inviting us but also being present to oversee the ministry process which builds confidence in the visiting team as it also secures the students/schools interest in the protection of the minors.
We usually get formal invitations by way of a letter from the school or by internal arrangements with the schools based on the relationship we have with them as well as the need at hand.
